Iceland Photography

I’m not sure why, but it seems that I have only enough creative energy to do either writing OR photography — but not both at the same time. It’s a little frustrating, actually. When I get the urge to write, my camera gathers dust — and when I’m running around with my camera, I seem incapable of writing a single sentence. My camera has been very busy recently, and I’ve just returned from an absolutely incredible trip to Iceland. I had wanted to visit this remote island settled by Vikings for a long time — and it was everything I had hoped for. Next time I’ll go in winter to see these wild and rugged landscapes covered in snow and ice.
Here are a few pics that I hope you’ll enjoy…

I always love your writing, India, but these photos are absolutely breathtaking. Beautiful beautiful work.
We seem to be following you around the world. We’re planning an Iceland trip for 2017. Iceland is stunning in its contrasts, isn’t it? I love the fact that they use bright colour on some of their buildings. It is something I’ve always thought we should do on the rainy west coast. I wouldn’t worry about the apparent dichotomy between your photography and your writing. Seems to me that while you are doing one, creative ideas for the other are percolating quietly in the background and will burst forth when they are ready. Meantime you are making *something* rather than having a total spell of creative drought, right?
Hi India,

Thank you so much, Larry. It was great fun “shooting” with you in Iceland!!
